This is the full Animation Effects toolbar.  Each tool adds a different effect to the selected screen element.

Rather than try to explain each of these effects now, try returning to Powerpoint, clicking on the STAR icon to get this toolbar, and then holding your mouse pointer over each tool to get an idea of what it does.

Then experiment.
